What is Tele-Consultation?

Tele-consultation is the use of technology to deliver services without needing physical contact. It is especially useful in challenging times like these with the COVID-19 situation.

What are the benefits?

  • It is a personalised session with your physiotherapist or podiatrist.
  • It is safe, secure and confidential (We are using encrypted end-to-end technology for video calls).
  • You get to have your therapy session in the comforts of your own home.
  • You can receive prompt treatment while adhering to social distancing.

How does it work?

Before a tele-consultation session, your therapist will require certain information regarding your condition, so as to prepare appropriately and ensure you get the most out of each session.

During the session, your therapist will assess, diagnose and prescribe the right exercises to manage your condition. Your therapist will guide you through the exercises with the necessary demonstration, as well as visual and verbal aids.

After each session, your therapist will provide you with the required follow up instructions, together with pictures and videos for you to continue your rehabilitation.

What do you need?

  • A smartphone or computer with webcam and microphone.
  • A stable internet connection.
  • Space in your room or living room for simple exercises
  • You can invite a family member to assist you with some of the exercises if available
  • Wear comfortable sports attire for us to easily assess your condition and direct exercises (i.e. wear shorts if you have knee pain, or singlet if you have shoulder pain).

Is tele-consultation the same as a session done in clinic?

No. We must clarify that there are limitations to a tele-consultation session. We are unable to deliver physical services such as manual therapy, ultrasound therapy or shockwave therapy online. In the event that your condition requires a face-to-face clinical session, your therapist will make the appropriate recommendations and arrangements to come to clinic. Our clinics are still operating to provide essential services.

We will endeavour to continue assisting you in your recovery journey.

Hope you have found the above information helpful. Feel free to contact us at 91268257 if you have any queries. We hope to see you soon!
