Gek Hong

Cheryl completed her Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) in 2004, and obtained her Master in Manipulative Therapy in 2006.   Having been in the private practice setting for over 15 years, Cheryl has extensive experience in the treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, such as back and shoulder pain, sporting injuries and post-operative rehabilitation. She also has a keen interest in musculoskeletal conditions of pregnant and post-partum women.   Cheryl adopts a holistic approach in her management strategy and enjoys working closely with her clients to achieve the best possible outcome, whether it is via hands-on treatment, education or exercise-based rehabilitation.   Cheryl is a registered physiotherapist and also a certified supervisor in Physiotherapy by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).   During her free time, Cheryl enjoys relaxing on the sofa with a good book and coffee. She also enjoys working on arts and crafts.

Joey Ng Zu Er

Joey Ng graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2016 with a Diploma in Physiotherapy. She went on to obtain an Honours Degree for Bachelor in Science (Physiotherapy) from Trinity College, Dublin in 2017. She constantly works on personal development by regularly attending courses to upgrade and update her clinical skills to better manage patients.   Joey started her career as a physiotherapist in Sengkang General Hospital where she gained invaluable experience in multiple areas of physiotherapy including Orthopaedics, Acute Care, Musculoskeletal and Geriatrics. She also had exposure in sports injury management when she was the team physiotherapist for the National Men’s Floorball and National Squash teams during the Southeast Asian Games in Manila, 2019.   Joey is highly passionate about increasing her clients’ awareness to their conditions, and empowering them to take charge of their injury. She strongly believes in active rehabilitation and incorporates manual therapy, physiotherapy education, and exercise programs to help her clients optimise their function and achieve their rehabilitation goals. Her main areas of interest are musculoskeletal and sports injury management.   In her free time, Joey enjoys going to the gym, as well as spending quality time with her family and two dogs. She also loves travelling and her favourite getaways are to islands where she can dive and explore the underwater world.

Nurhafizah Binte Abu Sujad

Nurhafizah (“Fizah”) completed her Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) in the University of Sydney in 2004.   Fizah started her career working in Changi General Hospital with various stints across Musculoskeletal and Surgical Wards, and Outpatient Clinics. She was an aqua therapist and conducted hydrotherapy sessions for her patients.   Thereafter, she spent 11 years as the Head Physiotherapist of the Football Association of Singapore, leading the Department of Football Science and Sports Medicine. She was responsible for the healthcare of the Senior Men’s National Team and prepared them for every major tournament including the World Cup Qualifiers. She also oversaw the National Aged Group teams from U17 to U22.   Nurhafizah specializes in several areas of physiotherapy, including Musculoskeletal, Sports, Hydrotherapy, and Neurological conditions. Her expertise in these specializations allows her to provide highly personalised and effective treatment plans for her patients.   In addition to her clinical expertise, Nurhafizah is also fluent in three languages, including English, Malay, and Arabic. Leow Kai Jun Chester

Chester graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2016 and did his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in University of Otago where he was awarded a distinction for his academic achievements during his Masters programme. He is also certified in dry needling.   Chester has a strong interest in sports rehabilitation and is greatly invested in working with sports surgeons and fellow physiotherapists to improve care for patients in the area of ACL, Bankart and SLAP repairs. Apart from post op rehabilitation, he is interest in injury prevention in sports, especially in basketball.   He believes in working with patients to empower them to be confident in returning to their daily activities, and continue pursuing their passions.

Hu Meiting Felicia

Felicia Hu achieved her Diploma in Physiotherapy from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2016. She then completed her Bachelors of Science (Physiotherapy) from Trinity College of Dublin in 2018.   Felicia spent the next 4 years gaining valuable experience, knowledge and skills in the rehabilitation of both inpatient and outpatient post operative, neurological,  musculoskeletal and sports related injuries in Singapore’s restructured hospitals.   She finds joy in enabling individuals to achieve  functional goals important to them so as to maximise their quality of life. She believes that exercise is the key to a healthy mind and that building good patient rapport along with educating them with knowledge of their own condition can spur the individual to take responsibility and partake more readily in their own rehabilitation.   In her free time, Felicia enjoys cooking, surf skating and maintaining an active lifestyle!

Toto graduated from La Trobe University, Melbourne, in 2011 with a Bachelor of Podiatry. He also holds a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (First Class Honours) from Mahidol University, the leading Medical and Research University in Thailand. Born in Thailand, his friends and family calls him by his friendly name “Toto” which acts like a middle name for “Supapong”.   Toto began his career as a podiatrist at National University Hospital (NUH) in 2012, working closely with Orthopaedic, Sports Medicine and Vascular doctors. His main clinical interests include sports and musculoskeletal injury prevention, paediatrics, diabetic foot, ingrown toenail care and wart treatment. He actively engages in treating sport and musculoskeletal injuries using a variety of modalities such as footwear and orthotic therapy, shockwave therapy, and exercise modification. He was also the main podiatrist in charge of ingrown toenail services in NUH where he created clinical guidelines and supervised junior podiatrists and podiatry students in this field of specialty.   Toto also works alongside paediatric physiotherapists in treating children with neurological issues such as Cerebral Palsy (CP) and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), where he uses his background of Podiatry combined with Prosthetic and Orthotic skills to improve a patient’s quality of life.   Toto values a holistic yet evidence-based approach in treating lower limb conditions. Kwok Siew Keong (SK)

Siew Keong (SK) graduated with a Bachelors in Podiatric Medicine from The University of Western Australia in Perth, and was awarded a scholarship from Singapore General Hospital (SGH). Having spent 8 years in one of the world’s best hospitals, SK has worked with a diverse group of patients, ranging from young children, active athletes, working adults to the elderly. He is experienced in a wide range of podiatric conditions, ranging from advanced wound management, recurrent ingrown toenails to complex musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. SK also went on to obtain further training in areas such as joint mobilisation, dry needling and exercise prescription. Beyond Podiatry, SK also pursued a Masters in Business Administration to diversify his skillset.   Having a special interest in MSK conditions, SK was appointed to the MSK Specialist Team in 2015 and has worked closely with the Orthopaedics Department. SK was part of a multi-disciplinary clinic with Orthopaedics doctors and was the Podiatrist point-of-contact for post-operation patients. His work played an important role in supporting patients in their post-op recovery journey immediately after their foot and ankle procedures. His close collaboration with the Orthopaedic surgeons ensured his patients received timely care in the successful management of their feet conditions. Besides clinical work, SK was also a MSK clinical supervisor. He also started the MSK Case Discussion Club in SGH Podiatry Department and organised the SGH Podiatry Assistants Lower Limb Stretching and Strengthening Course.   SK’s touch of care is well felt by all his patients. His sincerity and genuine concern is acknowledged through the multiple SGH Allied Health Division Service Awards and Singhealth Service Quality Awards accorded in his consecutive years of service there. He is also the 1st Podiatrist in SGH Podiatry department’s long running history to win the SGH Heart of Gold award.   Beyond the clinic room, SK has also conducted foot care education and Podiatry awareness talks to various community groups and organisations, and has volunteered in multiple outreach programmes, such as World Diabetes Day, Sundown Marathon, Special Olympics 2019. He is also the current President of Podiatry Association (Singapore), and has served as a Treasurer from 2019 to 2021.

Sheena Tan

Sheena is an experienced podiatrist with a special interest in sports injuries and paediatric foot conditions. She began her career at Alexandra Hospital in 2013 and was awarded an in-service scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in podiatry, specialising in musculoskeletal conditions. She also played a key role in establishing the musculoskeletal podiatry clinic at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. With more than 11 years of experience, she is well-equipped to manage a wide range of foot problems across all age groups. As a mother of three young children, Sheena enjoys connecting with her young patients and strives to make each interaction a positive experience. She is also the founder of The Tiny Trooper, a shoe label that advocates for and designs healthy footwear for toddlers. Outside of podiatry, Sheena is an avid sportswoman, having competed in badminton during her youth. She draws on her athletic background to create effective treatment plans for patients with sports-related injuries.

Lee Yinjie

Yinjie Physiotherapist

Yinjie graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic as the top student in 2004 and was awarded both the Ministry of Health Gold Medal (outstanding performance in the course of study) and the Singapore Physiotherapy Association Prize (best performance in clinical practice). She started her career in Singapore General Hospital while pursuing her degree with University of Sydney. Her clinical experience has exposed her to the different disciplines in physiotherapy.   Having worked in various settings, Yinjie has treated a wide spectrum of clients from the young to the elderly for musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, postoperative rehabilitation, geriatric and neurological conditions.   She was a national canoeist previously and whilst she no longer rows or competes, she believes in keeping herself fit and works out regularly.

Goh Xuan Kai

Xuan Kai graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2018 with a Diploma in Physiotherapy. He went on to obtain an Honours Degree for Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin in 2019.   He started his physiotherapy career in a public hospital where he was part of the Orthopaedic team that helps and rehabilitates patients who have undergone common operations like Total Knee Replacements (TKR), Total Hip replacements (THR), Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and Spinal operations.   Xuan Kai strongly believes in helping his clients return to their daily lives by empowering them to be actively involved in their rehabilitation. He also has a strong interest in treating gym related injuries.   Outside of work, Xuan Kai enjoys working out and learning new skills. He enjoys the thrill of learning new skills and the satisfaction of mastering them. Because of his passion for learning, he constantly strives to improve himself and helps his patients overcome their challenges throughout their rehabilitation journey.
