Lim Fang Yee

Lim Fang Yee graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2018 with a diploma in Physiotherapy and went on to obtain an Honors Degree for Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) from Trinity College of Dublin in 2018. Fang Yee started his career as a physiotherapist in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, where he spent 8 years gaining valuable experience in multiple areas of physiotherapy, including musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, acute cardiopulmonary care at intensive care unit and neurological rehabilitation. Stemming from his interest in the human brain, Fang Yee took special interests in neurological rehabilitation, where he spent 4 years caring and helping his patients in the acute stroke unit and neurosurgical ward (literally) back on their feet. 8 years on, Fang Yee is now chasing his passion for movement back to the roots of musculoskeletal rehabilitation and pursuing his career here with Physio and Sole. Fang Yee strongly believes in the role of exercise and movement, living by the motto of “Move to live, not live to move”. He remains passionate about the power of the human brain in driving recovery, as well as recognizing his role in empowering clients in active rehabilitation towards their journey to recovery. In his free time, Fang Yee is an avid angler. He can often be found at dawn or dusk at his favourite fishing spots luring for his next personal best record. He started off fishing at a local offshore trip during the start of the Covid pandemic. He got hooked immediately to fishing, and ventured further into local freshwater luring and shore casting. He is looking forward to a few upcoming overseas offshore trips as the borders open up. Fang Yee enjoys tranquility during fishing, where despite the scorching sun and ever-buzzing mosquitoes, he is able to calm his mind into focusing on a single task.
Ponn Oly D/O S Visvalingam

Ponn Oly has been a licensed physiotherapist for more than 19 years. She received a Singapore General Hospital Scholarship and graduated with a Diploma in Physiotherapy from Nanyang Polytechnic, thereafter completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney. Having worked in Singapore General Hospital, it sparked her desire for helping people with musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. Hence, she went on to pursue her Masters in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy from University of South Australia. She has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research in Canada and had worked in the Calgary Prostate Cancer Centre handling clinical research data. She is currently pursuing a Certificate in Data Analytics, Python, Machine learning and AI from the National University of Singapore to advance her understanding of analysing data. Driven by a deep desire to help those with spinal conditions, Ponn Oly started helping patients through scoliosis management upon returning to Singapore, having underwent rigorous training in ISST Schroth techniques in Edmonton, Canada. Unlike traditional approaches, the ISST Schroth method empowers individuals with scoliosis through personalised exercise programs. Ponn Oly recognizes the profound impact these exercises can wield in scoliotic posture and mitigating discomfort. Her attainment of ISST Schroth Level 1 certification underscores her unwavering dedication to helping scoliotic patients. Ponn Oly is an avid mountain trekker. She used to be completely out at the Rocky Mountains camping with her family during summer and winter scaling all the tough trails in Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise and British Columbia. She also started learning downhill skiing and enjoys snow shoeing and cross-country skiing at the Rockies. Recently, she has started scaling the mountains in Mumbai and Pune. She loves travelling to experience different cultures and cuisines as she is a foodie. She frequently treks the hard trails as she enjoys the mental and physical challenges. On her rest days, she is always whipping up delicious Indian dishes and her best dish is Dum Briyani. Recently, she has picked up learning the Indian Martial Arts, Kalari from Kerala.
Joanne Yap

Joanne graduated from the University of Brighton with First Class Honours. She gained valuable clinical experience when working in both the community clinics and King’s College Hospital (London) within the National Health Service in UK. She is highly experienced in treating various soft tissue and toenail disorders that affect the feet, such as fungal nails, corns and calluses, ingrown toenails and warts. She has had the privilege of working in multidisciplinary teams alongside vascular surgeons, endocrinologists and wound care nurses in the management of diabetic patients. She also had the opportunity to work with paediatric orthotists where she gained useful insights on treating paediatric cases using ankle foot orthoses and customised insoles. Joanne’s area of clinical interest is podogeriatrics where she aims to promote healthy aging for the elderly and enhance their overall health and well-being. Being a Singaporean, she understands our aging population is a major concern and their health care needs has to be addressed in a holistic manner. She aims to do her part for the community by actively engaging patients and their families in providing advice for appropriate footwear, foot care and hygiene in order to prevent or manage feet issues. Joanne enjoys trying out new hobbies in her free time, such as baking, learning a new language, or starting a new exercise regimen. She tries to have an active and healthy lifestyle, and she loves going for walks or hikes in the great outdoors. However, nothing beats having a rush of adrenaline and endorphins after a HIIT workout or a run for her!
Sing Pei Kheng Myra

Pei Kheng graduated with a First Class Honours in Bachelor of Science Podiatry from the University of Southampton in 2016, under a scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Health. When practicing at Changi General Hospital, she gained vast experience in treating all foot conditions, including ingrown toenails, warts and fungal nail infections. She was the primary podiatrist in the Wound Healing Centre, managing complex wounds (e.g. diabetic foot wounds) alongside a multidisciplinary team of Vascular Doctors and Wound Care Nurses. At the Singapore Sports Medicine Centre (SSMC), she has managed various adult and youth sports injuries and grew her skillset in musculoskeletal podiatry. Her time at SSMC raised her interest in helping patients with running-related injuries and footwear science. She continuously updates herself with the latest footwear trends and clinical research and strives to treat patients holistically. She believes a well-rounded approach to manage feet issues should include a combination of orthotic prescription, exercises, shockwave therapy and lifestyle modifications tailored to the individual. Intrigued by movement and the fluidity of mobility, and a proponent of feet being the foundation of movement, she is both an EBFA certified Barefoot Training Specialist and Bare Workout Instructor. The certifications help her prescribe exercises that target foot strength and proprioception, two factors crucial to preventing common injuries. Outside of work, Pei Kheng pursues various activities in strength and conditioning, from barbells to kettlebells to yoga, and she seeks to enjoy the outdoors and nature more. Pei Kheng holds her active lifestyle close to her heart and empathises with injured patients struggling to participate in sports or activities. Working with patients to understand their expectations and rehabilitation goals, she strives to achieve them promptly and efficiently and finds fulfilment when patients return to sport at their desired level.
Ong Hao Xu

Hao Xu obtained his Diploma in Physiotherapy from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2018. He started his career in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) for 1.5 years in Musculoskeletal and Cardiopulmonary specialties before completing his Bachelors in Science (Physiotherapy) from Trinity College Dublin in 2020. He is also certified in dry needling. Hao Xu continued his journey in TTSH for another three years where he amassed invaluable experience in treating patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary and geriatric conditions. He has specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy with a sub-specialty in pain management for more than two years since. During his time in the outpatient clinic, he had seen a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and has led exercise classes for conservative and postoperative conditions. In addition, he was a project lead in a novel project regarding telehealth for Rheumatoid Arthritis patients. He is also a certified Clinical Educator for physiotherapy students at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and a certified clinical supervisor in Physiotherapy by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). Hao Xu has a keen interest in post-operative sports rehab to safely guide athletes on their recovery route. He also believes in a biopsychosocial approach to each individual in their recovery journey. Outside of work, Hao Xu enjoys a variety of sports such as HIIT, callisthenics, running and swimming. Aside from keeping active, he also has a love for photography and enjoys travelling with his wife.
Leong Whye Kit Joshua

Joshua graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (Hons) from the Singapore Institute of Technology. After graduation, he began his career as a physiotherapist at the Football Association of Singapore, working closely with the football and sports medical teams. During his time at the organisation, he was responsible for overseeing the rehabilitation of the National U17 boys’ and girls’ teams. Through this role, he gained valuable insights and experience in treating various sports injuries, particularly ankle and knee injuries. His interest in sports rehabilitation has grown over the years, and he is now dedicated to helping patients regain their strength, mobility, and confidence, enabling them to return to the sports and activities they love. Outside of work, Joshua enjoys playing football and having a good cup of coffee at a cafe he regularly visits. He believes in maintaining a balanced lifestyle and understands the importance of self-care and leisure in achieving overall well-being.
Anna-Belle Tan

Anna-Belle Tan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Curtin University, and she has many years of experience working in private practice. Within this time, she has effectively treated a diverse array of musculoskeletal conditions. Her expertise spans from addressing office-related neck and back strains to post-operative rehabilitation and sports injuries. Anna-Belle also has a keen interest in knee and spinal conditions. She aspires to journey with her clients throughout their rehabilitation journey. By fostering understanding and effective management, Anna-Belle aims to guide individuals towards their rehabilitation goals and an improved quality of life. During her free time, Anna-Belle enjoys reading, catching up on the latest dramas and travelling the world. As a food enthusiast, she also finds joy in discovering new eateries.
Charles Wong

Charles Wong graduated from Singapore Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (Honours). He brings a wealth of experience from many years in private practice where he honed his skills treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions from office-related injuries to complex sports injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. Charles has developed a special interest in shoulder, knee and back conditions. His passion lies in empowering patients throughout their recovery journey. He utilises a comprehensive approach that combines patient education, manual therapy and exercise prescription to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. When away from the clinic, Charles enjoys working out and experimenting different ways of doing exercises that can potentially benefit his patients.
Bryan Cheong

Bryan began his career at Singapore General Hospital, where he gained extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. These experiences allowed him to hone his skills in managing geriatric, orthopaedic, and musculoskeletal conditions. He is certified in dry needling and myofascial decompression (cupping), which he has found to be highly effective in treating soft tissue injuries accompanied by pain and stiffness. Notably, Bryan was part of a specialist team of physiotherapists focusing on the treatment of both conservative and post-operative shoulder conditions. Bryan is passionate about helping his clients return to their beloved activities. He firmly believes in empowering his patients with the knowledge and skills needed for their rehabilitation journeys. His commitment to ensuring the best outcomes for his patients earned him a Singapore Health Quality Service Award within his first two years of work. Having experienced injuries from climbing, basketball, badminton, and tennis himself, Bryan understands the frustration of being unable to engage in his favourite activities. He hopes to assist others in returning to sport through his guidance. In his free time, Bryan enjoys working out and bouldering. He also spends his leisure time reading and taking relevant courses to improve his clinical skills. He finds satisfaction in continually enhancing his clinical abilities for the benefit of his patients.
Jessica Wong Lye Theng

With 8 years of dedicated experience as a Physiotherapist, Jessica has honed her skills in delivering comprehensive and patient-centred care. Her expertise spans a wide range of musculoskeletal-related therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation programmes, aimed at improving patient mobility, alleviating pain, and enhancing overall quality of life. Jessica is proficient in developing individualised treatment plans, and utilising evidence-based practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Jessica specialises in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, including pre- and post-op rehabilitation, and spinal conditions, especially on disc injuries and degenerative changes. Her commitment to continuous professional development and passion for helping patients regain their independence drives her contributions to the field of physiotherapy. For 27 years, sports have been Jessica’s passion and a significant part of her life. Being the captain of her badminton team in secondary school, she learned the importance of leadership and teamwork. As a Vice-Captain at Anglo-Chinese Junior College, she further developed her skills while celebrating multiple victories with her teammates. Through sports, she has gained invaluable life skills such as discipline and strategic thinking. These have shaped Jessica’s character and instilled a commitment to setting and achieving goals. Jessica looks forward to continuing this journey and inspiring others along the way. Jessica has a special interest in racket sports rehabilitation, as her experience in playing badminton has allowed her to help rehabilitate patients to return to the sport they love.
