Marie studied and graduated from the University of Otago in 2011 in New Zealand. She began her career as a musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist in an established private practice in Christchurch, New Zealand. After tying the knot, she relocated to Singapore and began working at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital where she amassed invaluable experience in dealing with orthopaedic, neurological and cardiopulmonary conditions in patients ranging from infants to elderly women. She subsequently worked at Mount Alvernia Hospital where she continued to treat and rehabilitate patients of a wide variety of conditions.

She then left the hospital setting to work as a home physiotherapist and has also taught antenatal classes across several hospitals. Being a mother of two and having experienced both antenatal and postnatal musculoskeletal pain, she is incredibly empathetic towards mothers and has a keen interest in both paediatric and pregnancy-related musculoskeletal conditions.

Marie believes that being a good teacher is essential to help a patient truly understand their condition. She enjoys forging close relationships with her patients. She applies a range of manual therapy techniques to help with their recovery, together with exercise prescription to aid and maintain their improvement at home.

When time allows, Marie likes to experiment in her kitchen, and enjoys dancing and working out together with her kids to their songs of choice!
