Lynn Toh graduated from La Trobe University, Melbourne, in 2010 with a Bachelor of Podiatry. During her 3rd year of study, she was offered a Podiatrist position by National University Hospital (NUH) and subsequently received their bursary award. This led to her return to Singapore to work at NUH as a Podiatrist from 2011 to 2016.
At NUH, Lynn was quickly promoted to Senior Podiatrist, and she was in charge of running the Vascular Podiatry clinic, specialising in vascular wounds and diabetic foot wounds. Over the years, Lynn was also invited to speak at various conferences and workshops, where she imparted her knowledge to nurses and doctors on diabetic foot assessments and footcare. Her strong interest in education led her to be a preceptor to junior podiatrists and podiatry students attached to NUH for clinical placements.
A valuable member of the Podiatry Association of Singapore since 2011, Lynn has volunteered in various outreach programmes to raise awareness on foot health as well as the Podiatry profession. She also took up a position on the Executive Committee as Treasurer from 2017 to 2018.
Other than taking care of high-risk foot conditions, Lynn’s clinical interests include adult and paediatrics biomechanical conditions which she uses a combination of foot orthotics and exercises to treat. She also enjoys treating nail and skin conditions of the foot, especially ingrown toenails. Besides English, Lynn is also proficient in Bahasa Melayu. This has enabled her to communicate well with Bahasa Melayu speaking patients, as well as patients from Indonesia.
Lynn finds great joy and meaning from being involved in the patient’s journey to full recovery. With her friendly nature and professional attributes, Lynn has made it her mission to go beyond the call of duty to impact and improve the quality of her patients’ lives.
