Angela Lim started her career as an auditor in PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC). She moved on to Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) where she facilitated courses for her clients towards self-discovery and change. Angela’s ongoing endeavour of empowering people towards change led her into taking a career switch as a Physiotherapist with Singapore General Hospital (SGH). She worked in SGH for 4 years before pursuing her Master in Clinical Physiotherapy (Manipulative Therapy) with Curtin University.
At SGH, Angela took in a wide array of clinical conditions including neck and back disorders, osteoarthritic conditions and joints tendinopathy. Providing rehabilitation for post-operative conditions such as total knee and hip replacements, rotator cuff repair and knee arthroscopy gave her invaluable experience and knowledge. Her previous career experience also led Angela to be a prime candidate as a clinical educator for the undergraduate Physiotherapy students and a supervisor for the postgraduates applying for their Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) registration. She was also a volunteer of the medical team coverage during the Standard Chartered Marathon in 2013 and 2015.
Angela is a sports enthusiast and actively treks, dives and practises yoga in her free time. She believes this has given her an edge, keen understanding and empathy for her patients to re-establish body awareness and movement habits. Her ultimate belief is to journey with her patients towards health promotion and preventive health care.
Angela practises at Kovan.
